ABOUT US

The Mallala Camping Ground is managed and operated by The Mallala & Districts Lions Club.  All profits are returned to the community.

The Mallala Campingground provides a different alternative to camping. The campground is located adjacent the town oval. The camping ground is perfect for that stop off when travelling between destinations.  We are approximately 50 kms from Adelaide and approximately 19 kms to the nearest beach.

Mallala is a small country township with a population of approximately 900 people.   Mallala is primarily a farming district and is well known for the sports motorpark which is located just a few kilometers from the township. The sports motorpark was originally an airfield base during WWII and a memorial to the men and women from the District who fought in the war can be found in the main street just opposite the Hotel.  Across the road from the hotel you can also find a very informative Museum and is well worth a look.  The campground is a great place for short stays and non permanent visitors.

Also located in the main street is our general store which can accommodate all your needs whilst in town and the take-away shop next door is a great place for an easy meal..  A service station is located on Adelaide Road just behind the hotel and a chemist across the road.  The Mallala Hotel is a great country hotel for a sit down meal and a beer.

The Mallala Campingground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located in the town centre of Mallala adjacent to the town oval, and can be found quite easily by looking for the light towers of the oval. The camping ground is also suitable for big rigs.
